Founded in the city of Mechanicville in 1982, The Express was purchased in 1997 by Kathleen & Gary McNall who have operated it for over 11 years.
The Express Newspaper is Southern Saratoga County's oldest family owned and operated newspaper. We serve the communities of Mechanicville, Stillwater, Schaghticoke and neighboring communities of Halfmoon, Schuylerville and Easton.
The Express is read by an estimated audience of more than 10,000 readers in Saratoga and Rensselaer Counties and in other areas throughout the U. S.
The Express is the official legal newspaper for the city of Mechanicville, the town of Schaghticoke, the village of Schaghticoke, the school districts of Mechanicville and Hoosic Valley, as well as, several libraries and fire departments.
